Important
If using satnav, please use the postcode NP15 1HS, not the name of the farm, as there are some similarly named places nearby.
Alternatively use What 3 Words:/// wriggle.skillet.carpentry
Please approach the site from the B4598 – if coming through Usk, turn by the Three Salmons pub and head past the vets, under the old bridge and turn right after about a mile.
We’re just a 15 minute drive from Junction 24 (Newport East) of the M4, around 35 minutes from both Bristol and Cardiff. Link to Google Maps.
Please note, the event is accessed by narrow lanes with limited passing places and some sharp turns. For that reason we are implementing a one-way system for festival traffic, asking everyone to approach the site from the South West side via Usk. When approaching the site, please follow the directions below, even if your sat nav says otherwise!
Driving from London/Bristol/Cardiff
- Exit the M4 at J24 onto the A449 for 8 miles;
- Exit onto the A472 to Usk/Brynbug (watch out for 20mph speed camera as you enter Usk);
- Turn right at the Three Salmons Hotel, on to the B4598 Porthycarne St/Abergavenny Rd;
- After 1.3 miles turn right and proceed for 1.1 miles;
- The festival entrance will be on the right.
Driving from the Midlands
Your sat nav is likely to tell you to turn off the A40 towards Gwehelog. Ignore this! Instead keep going south straight towards the town of Usk.
- Exit the M50 or A40 on to the A449;
- After 6 miles, exit onto the A472 to Usk/Brynbug (watch out for 20mph speed camera as you enter Usk);
- Turn right at the Three Salmons Hotel, on to the B4598 Porthycarne St/Abergavenny Rd;
- After 1.3 miles turn right and proceed for another 1.1 miles;
- The festival entrance will be on the right.
Public Transport
The nearest train stations are Newport (on the main London – Swansea line) and Cwmbran, which are both around a 20-minute taxi ride away.
Parking
Car parking remains free (there’s a small charge for campervans and other live-in vehicles) but we encourage you to come by public transport if you can.
Gate times and leaving the site
When does it all start and finish?
The 2023 festival runs from midday on 14th July until midnight Sunday 16th July, with camping on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
When can I arrive?
Gate times are:
Friday at 12pm (noon) till 10pm.
Saturday 10.30am to 8pm.
Sunday 10.30am to 6pm.
Admittance to the site outside these times will be at the discretion of security.
When do I have to leave?
We’d love to have you to stay longer, but sadly we have to ask you to leave the site by 12pm (noon) on Monday.
Please be sensible and make sure whoever is driving is in a fit state to drive:
Make sure they stop drinking alcohol early on Sunday
Make sure they have had enough sleep before setting off
To encourage this, all entertainment will stop a little earlier on Sunday. Be aware that the local police are aware of the festival, and may well be breathalysing drivers as they leave the site.
Anyone we suspect of drink/drug-driving may have their car keys confiscated and will be reported to the police. Be safe and be sensible!
Can I pop off-site or leave over-night?
Yes, you are welcome to leave the site during the day to visit the local shops for supplies (alcohol can only be taken onto the festival site on first entry – see alcohol limits here). You may also sleep off-site. In either case, please be aware of gate times though.
Any vehicle movement is at the discretion of stewards and security at the time though, and our primary concern is the safety of other festival guests and the local community. Anyone thought to be moving a vehicle whilst intoxicated is liable to have their vehicle keys confiscated by security.
