General camping is included in the price of a weekend Big Love ticket.
Sleep under canvas in our beautiful camping area, with stunning views across the idyllic Monmouthshire countryside. There’s plenty of room to spread out and create your own festival micro-camp with your friends.
For those of you that came in 2022, you’ll find that general camping has now moved to the field on the other side of the hedge where you were before.
The camping fields are just a stone’s throw from parking, so no lugging your kit over big hills. Drinking water is available from stand pipes around the field.
If you want to cook your own food, barbecues and open fires are not allowed in the camping area, but gas camping stoves are fine.
Creature comforts included!
90% of toilets are composting loos for 2023.
Camping doesn’t have to mean roughing it!
Tuck shop
New for 2023 is the Big Love Tuck Shop, which will be selling some festival essentials like snacks, sanitary products, toiletries and such like.
Camping FAQ
Where can I camp?
The main camp site is located about 200m from the main stage and near to the car park (there is a separate area for camper vans and live-in vehicles). The camping field has drinking water, toilets and washing facilities.
What about parking?
Parking is free for cars, and the parking field is about a 300m walk from the campsite. You need to purchase a pass if you are coming in a camper van or other live-in vehicle. For those with mobility issues, disabled parking is available – please see the main page on festival accessibility.
Can I bring a camper van?
Yes, camper vans and other live-in vehicles are welcome for a small extra charge. There are no electric hook-ups though.
Can I pitch my tent next to my friend’s campervan?
No, for safety you won’t be able to pitch a tent in the separate campervan field. The two areas are only a 2-minute walk from one another though.
We want to treat ourselves — is there a ‘glamping’ option?
Yes, we’ve got some fantastic boutique camping or ‘glamping’ options for you, see below.
Can I stay in a nearby hotel?
There are some great local hotels and bed & breakfasts nearby, and festival guests are welcome to stay in them. Please be aware of gate times though.
If you are staying off-site and are going to be enjoying a drink, we recommend getting a taxi to/from your hotel as the lanes are very narrow and unsuitable for walking.
Again, vehicle movement is at the discretion of stewards and security at the time, and our primary concern is the safety and security of other festival guests and the local community. Anyone thought to be moving a vehicle whilst intoxicated is liable to have their vehicle keys confiscated by security. We will be providing details of local taxi services nearer the date.
Boutique ‘Glamping’ options
We have a separate, dedicated boutique camping field. For those who want your weekend escape to be as memorable as possible, we’ve also got some gorgeous boutique camping options created by a team we know and trust to deliver a great experience.
Why not upgrade from just £54 per person for 3 nights? The stylish bespoke camping area allows you to chill-out or party in pure comfort in a luxury bell tent or stunning Moroccan-themed Bedouin tent. Visit the Boutique Camping page for more information.
