We will shortly be opening applications for volunteers for 2024 to help organise and run our fun not-for-profit festival.
Before the Festival: Decór & Build
It’s a little-known fact, but the week leading up to gates-opening is the best part of any festival. That’s where the core crew become VIPs, crazy ideas are pursued, lasting friendships formed and many laughs are had. Of course you’ll be fed and watered whilst working, then get a pass to the festival.
Whether you’re creative, technically skilled or just enthusiastic, if you’re available in mid July, get in touch when applications open. If you’re not able to commit to every date, don’t worry, we’re flexible.
If you can stick around to help with the get-out on the Monday after the festival, even better!
Are you a creative sort, looking to express yourself on a grand canvas? No matter what your skills or abilities we’d love you to be part of the decór team, decorating stages, painting carnival signs, untangling Kms of bunting or sewing flags. Either join the team or do your own thing… get in touch!
We also need volunteers to shape and construct the festival in the week+ before gates open. Carpentry, electrical, painting, rigging, plumbing and good old fashioned muscle are much in demand! Zero sexist BS, everyone welcome.
During the festival
Our bar team will be looking for a few more volunteers to work a couple of shifts in exchange for a weekend pass for Big Love.
Admin & Production Office
We have a few volunteer positions left in the production office, with roles ranging from production assistants and general event admin, to artist liaison, stage managers and runners.
Litter & Green Team
Big Love Festival takes place in a beautiful countryside location, and we want the site to look as stunning when we leave as when we arrive. Our Green Team keep an eye out for litter, help empty bins and make sure we recycle as much of our waste as possible.
Our lovely well-being team are on hand throughout the festival to ensure both attendees and crew feel comfortable and safe. That can mean a cup of tea and toast, a chilled space and sympathetic ear, or support getting help from elsewhere.
We have a couple of vacancies for KPs/assistants to work in the backstage crew/artist catering area. In return for working a few hours a day, you’ll get fed and watered and a free pass to the festival.
N.B. all paid roles have now been filled, but if you have relevant experience and feel you would be suited to something beside the above stewarding, do let us know.
