Only 2 weeks to go, and we’re still adding more amazing entertainment for you! But this addition is a bit special. Last year we lost a dear friend and a big part of Big Love: ‘Big Scott’ Travers was massive figure on the grassroots music scene in South Wales, and he’d been with us from the start in 2016.
Scott scouted and championed so many brilliant up-and-coming artists over the years, helping with exposure through his radio shows, live events or by giving them a platform at Big Love.
No matter what genre, Scott had an ear for original musical talent, and a kind, supportive voice for young and inexperienced artists.
Since Big Scott’s passing last year, we wanted to commemorate his life and positivity in some way. What more fitting way than to launch a new stage at Big Love, dedicated to emerging Welsh musical talent?
Announcing the Great Scott! stage
So, we are delighted – and slightly teary-eyed – to announce a new stage at Big Love 025 which we are calling Great Scott!
We’ve worked with Scott’s close friend Tina to programme some of his favourite artists this year, including:
Head Noise / Divers / Dave Morris / Joe Kelly / Tobias Robertson / Sons of Witches / Kaysha Louvain / Katie Rands / Jemma Krysa & John / Shay-One / Kurt Jones / Tomos Lewis.
This is just the start of a whole new aspect for us in developing our support of emerging musical talent.
