The Teddy Trust at Big Love

Big Love is going family-friendly for 2024, with a brand new children’s area, family camping and some amazing kids’ activities. To celebrate, we’re delighted to have teamed up with The Teddy Trust who will be at the festival collecting teddy bears to distribute to children suffering around the world.

Not only that, but the Teddy Trust will also be hosting a teddy bear hunt for younger children at the festival. So no matter how young or old you are, bring along a teddy to Big Love!

About the Teddy Trust

Most of us love a soft, cuddly teddy bear. Most of us remember snuggling up with our very own teddy bear. Some of us still have them from our childhood. So when a child is suffering the traumas of war, appalling  physical and psychological abuse or severe hunger and poverty, a teddy bear, given with love and compassion by someone in the UK can have a profoundly healing effect.

That’s why, over the past few years, the Teddy Trust has been collecting and sending soft, cuddly teddy bears to over 150,000 children around the world in 17 different countries such as Syria, Ukraine, Bosnia, Malawi, Kurdistan, Iraq and South Africa where they are used by the police in the rape crises centres and doctors in hospital forensic units.

And that’s why we are so honoured to have the Teddy Trust at Big Love Festival in July and to be able to help spread their message of love and compassion sent through the simple gift of a lovely teddy bear. So please, bring a teddy with you to donate at the festival!
