Important info for ticket holders

How to get to Big Love Festival

Please note, the event is accessed by narrow lanes with limited passing places and some very sharp turns. For that reason we are implementing a one-way system for festival traffic, asking everyone to approach the site from the South West side via Usk.

When approaching the site, please follow the directions below, even if your sat nav says otherwise!

Please also note that there is a nearby farm called Cayo Farm. This is not the same as Cwm Cayo Farm!

Map of route.

From London/Bristol/Cardiff

  1. Exit the M4 at J24 onto the A449 for 8 miles;
  2. Exit onto the A472 to Usk/Brynbug (watch out for 20mph speed camera as you enter
    Usk);
  3. Turn right at the Three Salmons Hotel, on to the B4598 Porthycarne St/Abergavenny Rd
  4. Keep going, go under the railway bridge, and after 1.3 miles turn right at the yellow sign. Proceed carefully up the lane for 1.1 miles;
  5. The festival entrance will be on the right.

From the Midlands

Your sat nav is likely to tell you to turn off the A40 towards Gwehelog. Ignore this! Instead keep going south straight towards the town of Usk.

  1. Exit the M50 or A40 on to the A449;
  2. After 6 miles, exit onto the A472 to Use/Brynbug (watch out for 20mph speed camera as
    you enter Usk);
  3. Turn right at the Three Salmons Hotel, on to the B4598 Porthycarne St/Abergavenny Rd
  4. Keep going, go under the railway bridge, and after 1.3 miles turn right at the yellow sign. Proceed carefully up the lane for 1.1 miles;
  5. The festival entrance will be on the right.

The postcode is NP15 1HS but only enter this once in Usk.

Gate times

Friday at 12pm (noon) till 10pm
Saturday 10.30am to 8pm
Sunday 10.30am to 6pm

Alcohol allowance

You are allowed to bring a limited amount of alcohol on site for your own personal consumption on the campsite – not the performance areas. We’ve kept our bar as reasonably priced as possible, and it’s the only chance we have to break even, so please respect this.

You are allowed to enter the festival with:

  • 1 case of beer (cans only)
  • OR 1 bottle of spirits (decanted into plastic containers)
  • OR 2 bottles of wine (decanted into plastic containers)

Security will be conducting searches on entry. You cannot leave and re-enter the festival with more alcohol.

And again, in case you missed it – absolutely no glass allowed on site!

Smokers

Please don’t drop cigarette butts on the ground! They can harm livestock, and volunteers will have to go around picking up every single one after the event. The same goes for noz canisters, which are prohibited anyway.

With this dry weather, discarded cigarettes are a real fire hazard – our fire engine has retired from service! Please use the little metal sand buckets dotted around the site.

Rubbish

Please use the bins provided, or better still take your rubbish home with you. Rubbish is being sorted and recycled off-site.

Staying safe and comfortable in the heat

It’s going to be a hot one, obviously. There’s plenty of shade on-site, but be sensible. Drink plenty of water, little and often, and bring sun block with you.

There are showers here, but they are likely to be busy, so please be patient.

Campervan tickets

Don’t forget you need a camper van pass for any live-in vehicle, whether that’s a fancy RV or caravan, or a transit van with a mattress in the back. They can still be purchased through the website.

Facilities for people with disabilities

We have several accessible toilets and an accessible shower on-site. Please visit the Production Office if you need the code for the accessible toilets. Please only use the ‘disabled’ or accessible facilities if you have a disability or medical condition that warrants it. Remember not all disabilities are visible though.

Neighbours

The local residents have been lovely and welcoming, so please respect them when on-site and when arriving or leaving. Keep the noise down, and try not obstruct the road.

Link to programme

You may like to save the programme PDF to your phone before you arrive:

The programme is likely to change a bit, so do check boards at the stages for the latest set times.

Finally

Please respect the farm and one another. It’s a stunning spot, and we want to be invited back.
