During its 4-year existence, Troyfest shone like a star, rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the UK’s friendliest and most magical small festivals. Sadly the brightest stars usually burn the shortest, and that’s true of Troyfest; last year the organisers agreed that they’d taken that festival as far as they could.
Troyfest may be no more, but fans of the festival needn’t worry! The co-founders/organisers of Troyfest and many of the crew behind it have brought in some new creative blood and launched a new festival for 2016, Big Love Festival. It’s taking place in the same country mansion venue, Baskerville Hall, on the the same early May bank holiday weekend as Troyfest was held.
Big Love Festival will include all the things you loved about Troyfest – the bringing together of different tribes of people to enjoy an eclectic range of bands and DJs, plus of course the friendly, intimate party vibe and amazing setting. But this year Big Love will be introducing all sorts of amazing new experiences, like street food stalls, woodland raves, traditional ‘gypsy’ caravans and campfire sessions, among many other surprises!
Thank you to everyone who helped make Troyfest so much fun. We’re confident that Big Love will bring people everything that was so special about Troyfest and much more besides.
